I figured I'd start a new thread about this.
Disclaimer: I'm *NOT* knocking Dr Mindbender in any way, in fact I think his costume is going to rock!
What if we opened up membership to the Cobra personalities?
I certainly wouldn't want to step on the toes of Cobra Cares, I just mean in regards to the "named" Cobras". Give them a little subpage, etc.
Most of our membership certainly have "gone drag" as Dreadnoks and the like. And we could form a nice bond with the 21st Legion.
Just my late night mind pondering ponderous possibilities.

I agree that named characters need their own recognition. Also it could be beneficial to have some Cobras at our disposal for conventions and pics....also it seems like several of us have both GI and snake costumes in the closet.
Keeping with the strict GI JOE forum, however, what if we dedicate a section to CAPTURED COBRAS, where Named Cobras can post pics whether it be us or newbies.. or even SPY TROOPS where people with both JOE AND COBRA tumes can post pics and whatnot...

No offense...but, maybe you guys should resolve your site admin/unity issues prior to attempting to expand upon things.

Agreed. I think a Joe site for Joes and a Cobra site for Cobra makes sense. The message boards are fair game but membership should be for the titular characthers.

I agree, Law. It's like the Star Wars costumers, which have the 501st Legion ONLY for bad guys and Rebel Legion ONLY for good guys.
Interacting with both groups of JOE and COBRA is welcomed indeed, but for membership purposes people with certain costumes can belong to individual groups or even both groups if they have a costume from each.

Exactly, I'm simply trying to make a big brotherhood if you will of fans.
One day we can all be Cobra, the other all Joe. The next a mixture of both.
It's not like I'm proposing charters and amendments.
The only rule is to have fun.
Oh, and no Trolling/flaming too. So the only two rules are...

I think it probably goes without saying I'm for a letting bad guys be members over here. At cobra cares, they are all for the foot solder so I didn't feel as welcome. I totally understand where they're coming from with that. If that wasn't their rule they would be the 21st legion of cobra commanders and drestros, there just aren't as many interesting bad guys as good guys. What it really comes down to is I know many of you, and if I'm going to the con it's the JOEs I'm going to be hanging out with.
I like the JOEs but I just love being evil, is that so wrong?

This is our charter:
A) Are you dressed as a Joe or named Cobra?
B) If yes, then go to D
c) If no, go change your clothes, then go to A.
D) Go find others dressed like you and start drinking.
