To Snake-Eyes & Law,
Fantastic pictures, guys. Thanx so much for sharing them. TWO Scarletts? Our cups runneth over.
I hope to someday be there with you all. Dragon Con. I just hope the turn out of costuming Joes will be at least as good, if not greater, on the year that I finally make it.
Best wishes, Kamakura

Who's the guy wearing the green cap and otherwise blue? Doesn't ring a bell for me.

Okay. The lack of a bare chest with a marines tattoo on it fooled me.

Much more recognizable. Heh, the background for Scarlett gives some interesting impressions for her hair. And is that Wild Bill I see back there?

Mercer is behind Scarlett in that pic. He wasn't there this year. Neither were some of the other JOEs in that pic.....Tunnel Rat, Lifeline, Flint, Hawk. Chuckles was there this year but I never caught up to him in costume.

I was quite the out of shape Law back then. Nice to see the workouts have paid off for moi. As for Dragon hopefully we can add some new Joes to the mix next year. Though I didn't mind our 5 man special mission team at all

I was quite the out of shape Law back then. Nice to see the workouts have paid off for moi. Funny, I was noticing how much weight I'd gained! ACK! Scarlett needs to go back to bootcamp, yo! Great photos, though. I had so much fun hanging out with everyone on Friday. Thought you guys would get a kick out of this excerpt from my friend Katie's LJ: ...and walked around with the cast of GI Joe. Well, Angie, Chris, and their crowd as the cast of GI Joe. Also, Steph was walking with us as Gwen Stacey but she was lacking in Spiderman at the time. Got many hugs from Kevin and met his crowd, dressed as DeathClock from Metalocalypse. Then Angie's crowd and headed toward the dealer room(s). I say headed toward cause it took us about an hour to essentially cross a street. Every 2 steps, there was "can I get a picture" cause the cast included somewhere between 6 and 10 people at a given time. Still much fun. Steph and I did poses in the background of some and seriously debated diving in front of the pictures going "no more, we want to go to the dealer room". We actually stood outside the dealer room for like 30 minutes while people kept coming up to them. But eventually we made it and in the meantime I did get pictures of other cosplayers.

Scarlett / Angie, No worries. I think you & Law / Chris and the rest of the Joes look tip-top!!!!!! This year, last year, any year! Speaking for myself, I think it would be ideal to lose 90 lbs. before appearing as Kamakura but I must admit to being even more inspired everytime I see pix of y'all together. Don't know if I want to wait that long to don the green gi & black mask! Great Live Journal excerpt by the way. I have had similar experiences with costumes (me dressed up or just walking around with friends who were in costume) in Waikiki. Sometimes just walking 10 feet there on Halloween is a time-consuming ordeal because of all the shutterbugs. I love that part of costuming, though. Better that than to go on ignored and/or unrecognized. I'm going to Star Wars Celebration 4 next year so I'm sure I won't be able to afford Dragon Con 2007 but I hope to help represent the Joes in Atlanta someday. Maybe in 2008........... No matter what, YO JOE! Best wishes, Kamakura Supporting the Joe team since 1983 www.rebellegionhawaii.comP.S. I had the pleasure / honor of meeting Recondo / Ed at Celebration 3 last year [2005]. My bad, though, I forgot to mention Joe stuff to him. I guess, being surrounded by Star Wars fans in costume, it escaped my mind completely. P.P.S. Now that my early morning shift is over (11 a.m. here), it's my mission for today to go pick up the "Scarlett Declassified" comic from Devil's Due Publishing. Off-topic, I know, but just thought I'd throw that in here.
