Just wondering if their was any plans for this convention as of yet. I'm getting ready to make my reservation for the hotel. I know most who would be there are local to Orlando, however if people are interested we could use it as a base for a party on Saturday night.
Just let me know if their is any interest in this.

I most likely won't go. Vulcon's are usually money machines with no soul. Going makes me sad and very bored.
WOW i can actually TOUCH Daniel Jackson?! can i put the 80 bucks right in his shorts? no? oh... well here's my money anyway!

I never go for the guests or atmosphere. It's always the hang out time. Oh and the dealer's room...man, it takes at least 2 and a half minutes to walk through that

Well I usually work staff so the money is only when it comes to a hotel. Also, they really aren't that different than most of the conventions out there. However take into account that most of the actors etc, ask large amounts of money to do conventions. So to get them the money has to come from someplace.

Oh, don't get me wrong. It's not the con itself that's the biggest problem, it's the attendees! I'm use to going places where you can walk up to anyone and say "hey man, nice costume" or you can get into a good debate over whether Kirk is better then Picard, but at vulcon it's like the spirt of the people going is broken. All they want to do is buy, see the star, and DON'T make eye contact with anyone!
And that was before I was an Evil cattle prod carrying bald dude.

Your prod might be your "in" with some people. Uh, wait...

Turns out Vulkon is 5 miles from my house, so it looks like I'll be going after all.. I'll be putting together a quick and dirty atlantis costume so I have a reason to carry around that new P90. Not Joe-like, I know, but Gabi's making me grow back my hair, so no mindbender until dragoncon.
I know this is a sad question after dissing this whole thing like I did, but is anyone else going to be there?

It is a con worthy of all diss-isitude! And Scarlett and I will be there...more Joes as the night wears on for the live show/Dennys fest.

That's the way you roll, and I respect that, but I must insist that you also wear pants with the shirt. You don't want me to go blind in both eyes do you? I'll need to wear glasses like a normal person.
