We had a Russian sub in rhode Island that was turned into a museum. They eventually wanted to turn it into a restaurant but it ended up sinking during a really bad storm. They finally raised it up after almost a year, and decided to scrap it. The money they got from it is being used to convert the USS Saratoga into a museum. They've been raising money for years and I think they finally have enough.
