We just finished my wife's Baroness costume on Saturday afternoon right before having to leave for a Halloween party at her sister's house.
Here's the basic rundown:
The chest and back armor are fiberglass and were sculpted by Pam Simpson:

It was raw form, so I had to sand and paint it. I found old black leather backpack straps in a scrap pile and they worked perfectly for creating the shoulder straps between the armor parts. They even had a buckle (nylon webbing slider) on one end of each strap, so the armor has the fake appearance in front like a lot of the comic/figure art. Under the arms we just used elastic with Velcro sewn on the ends.
The armor chest decal and black wig were from Ebay. The pvc thigh boots were from Amazon.com. The pvc opera gloves and Cobra logo belt buckle were from the dealer room at Dragon Con 2009.
The designer Chanel sunglasses were in the lost and found at my work for 3 months and we thought they’d look cool for Baroness so snagged them. We’ve looked for good fake normal eyeglasses, but so far haven’t found the “perfect pair”. She's still undecided if she should go for the round Harry Potter style glasses like the ‘80s comic look or the more rectangle modern style.
Oh, and she's just using the black undersuit from her Sandtrooper. She just preferred the look of gloss black accessories on top of flat black instead of all gloss black like many Baroness costumers do.
We finished the costume literally a few minutes before having to leave for her sister’s Halloween party, so she's using the pistol-holster-magazine pouch and Uzi off of my Snake-Eyes costume. We still need to get her own guns and gear. She's thinking of using a HK MP5K instead of an Uzi, because she still wanted a lightweight gun that wasn't a full sized rifle.
We took some photos outside yesterday. Enjoy!
Cobra! RETREAT!!! :lol
She wanted to play with my drum set. Baroness loves to Rock!
PS- She is going to battle Angie at Dragon Con next year.
