Pretty simple. This new film will end up bringing a bit more traffic to this site. Now since this is a live action film and not comics or cartoon related, do we allow these new "live action" costumes? I really don't mind too much in allowing them even though I'm not a big fan of how they look. It's far more 'Batman' than it is 'Joe' to me, but thats just my opinion.
I'll have to vote "Yes" on this one, since although I'm not a fan of the look, it is a G.I Joe film and we do have several different costume versions/types on here already.

I'll go with yes. I figure it'll turn out to the favor of old-style costumes if you put them next to the new jumpsuits.

I'd say yeah, we have to. If this is "official G.I. JOE, movie style", then it's still G.I. JOE regardless if we like the outfits or not.

Sure...just make sure they don't stand next to me in any pics. Or next to me regardless. Can you tell how I feel about the film or those that would choose to wear anything from a namby pamby US dissing flick?

Damn periods...I meant "United States". They've avoided the whole "Real American Hero" moniker like the plague.

Yeah. FYI G.I. Joe now stands for "Global Integrated Joint Operating Entity". Might as well call it U.N. movie. BS man...bs. And all so they can make a buck overseas.

That's lame as hell. Geez... Pretty disappointed in hearing this crap. I won't be seeing this film. I'd rather have 10 animated sequels all featuring Cobra -La. G.I Joooooooooooooooeeeeeeeeee a real Global Integrated Joint Operating Entity!!! Give me a break... Horrible and insulting. Many people don't seem to get that G.I JOE was based on a real guy. That guy was named Mitchell Paige. Check out this article : www.lvrj.com/opinion/10849526.htmlQuoted from the article: Thats a damn shame.

Barbecue & fellow Joes,
I will respectfully obstain from voting in this one, for several reasons.
1) I don't even have MY costume done yet. I don't feel it's right to deny someone else the fun of costuming, even if I did.
2) As of this writing, I don't particularly care for most of the costumes. [The earlier pix of Snake-Eyes get my approval, though.] However, since I've only seen pix & not the costumes in context of the movie, I can't say I will never like them.
3) I don't think my opinion of any particular costume should prevent someone else (who likes it) from having the fun of costuming.
I will, however, support the final decision determined by the vote. After all, that IS the democratic way. God bless America.
YO JOE!

G.I. JOE!!! A real multi-cultural hero!!! G.I. JOE is there!!!!
Nope, doesn't fit at all.
I will see the movie just cause I want to view a live action Snake-Eyes onscreen. Do I look for it to be good? Nope.

G.I. Joe was multicultural but still American. Joe's were from all over with all ethnic backgrounds. But still American. This PC pooped on version is a disgrace.

Yeah. FYI G.I. Joe now stands for "Global Integrated Joint Operating Entity". Might as well call it U.N. I suspect they feared people would claim the movie was "Team America: World Police without the irony". Of course, a good script would eliminate that right away, but I can sorta see some studio suit unfamiliar with the source material having that concern and overcompensating. I voted Yes, because who knows, maybe we'll meet some cool new people and infect them with the Classic Look bug.

I thought this Global Integrated blahblah malarky was in the disposed script. At least Jason Statham isn't slated to play Action Man anymore. Last I heard the movie has G.I. Joe as an American-headed operation with some joint operatives from other countries. Oh, and the PIT is in Egypt, I think.
