Got my v1 Flint costume put together enough to finally take some pics :-) This one's planned to be my costume for Sunday at Dragon-Con. Yes, I had the beret on backwards in the pics. I've got a more acurate shotgun on it's way, and still need to add the red epaulet stripes. v2 planned upgrades are: taller boots, different gloves, the round belt buckles, and possible different pants.

Here's a good source for cheep boots. www.outinstyle.com/p-/RCO-5080.htmlI can't see you're beret flash, but Flint wore the 7th Special Forces flash, it's all red. He also had an old school crest on it, it's a dagger with crossed arrows. It's the actual SF crest without the scroll. Here's a few examples: I would keep the pants, but swap out those Marine Corps jump wings with some good old Army ones. As far as wearing the beret, the flash should always be over the left eye. You can also shape it to your head by getting it wet, and pulling down on the right side. Then take it off while still wet, and place it on a ball(soccer, basketball, volleyball...etc.)to dry. I thought about doing Flint at first so I did some research on him. It looks really good so far, great job! I look forward to seeing v2.

Thanks for the pointers, putting the Flint costume together was on my list, but due to a technical failure on a different costume got bumped up to a "make this now" costume for Dragon-Con. Had to basically grab what I could get my hands on locally. The beret flash right now on my beret is definately wrong. (it's an Airborne pin) Was on my list of things to change, just forgot to list it. Now I know more accurately what to look for :-)
The beret actually fits me well in either direction, just had it on backwards. :-)
Still diggin the Tunnel-Rat outfit Mark :-) We're ending up with a decent amount of Joe and Cobra costumes out here :-)

Lady Jaye must not have dinner ready, I think Flint is about to let off a few buck shots. That's looking good man.

The gloves I would recommend getting the hatch short cuff operator gloves in brown because they look REALLY close to Flint's gloves. KAR
