I don't blame ya for not going if it isn't in the cards, I was just surprised that when the room was put into a new name, everyone else was put out on the curb instead of the remaining room compliment staying the way that had already been agreed upon, and that it took a while for people to even be notified.
Owel, spilt milk and all that. Looking forward to reading about your costume.

Dustin, Stef and Brandon... that's all I... lemme repeat "I" agreed on... when the room built up to 6 people without my knowledge or even asking "hey Herm, do you mind if I crash with you" then it got a little on my nerves. Since Dustin called it, i did give him Brandon's E-mail but thought to forewarn Brando that he may want to find a room because Dustin my want to change the room arrangements since it would be in "his" name. If there were other arrangements, then I'm sorry that I wasn't made aware of who all was showing up. I'll e-mail them once someone lets me know who else was scheduled to bunk in my room and give thier e-mail addresses to Dustin.

Fair enough...the theoretical (i.e. not-booked-yet) room I joined was actually Brandon's, but then I was told "Herm's booking the room instead", which was fine. I had assumed everyone was on board no matter who made the reservation--"the" room, rather than "Brandon's" room or "Herm's" room. Apparently there have been miscommunications and misunderstandings (on my end, anyway!).
Anyhow, it's become obvious I've been too far out of the loop to comment on the situation intelligently, so I withdraw all my bellyachin' and offer my apologies.

Well, the Hyatt is sold out for DC but the Merriott is still open. Everyone that wants to stay in a room let me know ASAP so we can see it this is still open. The rate I got quoted was $99 a night. Once again it is not a guantee that I can make it on Thursday night so if you guys want to go on Thursday it would be better if you made the call. I will be willing to pay for Thurs. even if I don't make it. Let me know people so we can get this done.

Well, that leaves me or fleetfang. Brandon, PM me the number to the Marriott, if you have it. In whose name is the reservation for the other room we'd like to have adjoining? Or are you guys in the Hyatt?

Room's booked! For some reason the $150 dragoncon rate isn't officially applied to Sunday night, but they assure me that will be changed. Will confirm.
So that's 4 nights (Thurs thru Sunday, checkout Monday), 5 people; $120/person, PLUS TAX, which I will ask them to estimate once the Sunday night rate is fixed. Please have cash on hand when you show up, as I will not have enough room on my credit card to spot people (or the willingness to do so ;D).
Yo Joe!

They confirmed today about the discount rate applying to Sunday night. Woo-hoo! They also were able to tell me what the total will be including tax: $684. So that's (round numbers) $137 a person for the entire weekend. Not bad.

Damn.... I still want to go to D-CON even though I'm no longer really planning to... The temptation is pretty great... I might still eventually want to go after all but eh, finding a room to stay in looks like a task that I wouldn't be able to accomplish since things are filling up so fast. Anyway I doubt I'll be going this year but I'll probably be there next year if things work out right. I'm hoping to move down south eventually.
