Hey Medic. I am also doing... ahem... going to be Dusty. I was planning on using the 85' costume. If you were going to do that version too, if I come across any useful information I'll be sure to pass it along to you.

Well, I'd normally comment on more than one person doing the same character. But, I guess that is an ok thing to do now. ;D
Umm Medic you do know Dusty is a guy don't you.

I think it would be okay.
I mean GIJoe has a severely limitted amount of female personel. What is there 4 girl Joes to how many males?
So it's Dustette instead of Dusty.
I could always choose someone else if it would help, I mean how many male GIJoes are there?
No seriously, how many?

Travis, A big thank you. yes you are right, how many female Joe's are out there? Not many. I have played the character Dusty a few times. I got the uniforms through my husband , who is in the service. Since you are a male and i a female, 5 ft 2 and very small built at that(ok flat is more like it) in costume I look like a guy (gggrrrr) till people get up close. When I went to the folks house, someone asked when I was graduating high school, I am in my 30's.
I know Dusty is a guy, but hey he is one of my fav characters. Do not get me wrong, the ladiies of Joe are coo, but growing up with two brothers, you kinda end up as a tomboy. So Dusty and Lifeline ended up being my favorites.
LOL, I live the job as Lifeline and since 9/11 guess marrried a Dusty. BTW I will be married 6 years the 17 Oct, and the hus supports my habbit.....I mean hobby of everything GI Joe. When he heard of your site, and I asked him for a little more help, he said "Heck Yea!"
Travis, I live in the midwest. So i am not able to get to some of the comic cons. Due to my crazy work schedule, and maybe working a full weekend , then the next only a saturday or sunday. I mised the one here, due to that. But we could exchange information as to make better uniforms.
As in, I was searching Evilbay for a M16 Airsoft, and a few came up for $24.99 plus shipping of around 10-12 dollars. I was wondering if this was a good deal. I have most of the costume complete, but still in the works. Email me at.

Most likely the airsofts for that price are spring ones. Not bad if your just doing costumes. I've a G-36 that is a spring one. I still have a problem with changing genders of characters. Doc, I don't mind since in GI Joe: Reloaded. Doc is female. As to the female Joes, yes their are few. Scarlett, Lady Jaye, Cover Girl , Jinx, Mayday, Daina and GI Jane. If anyone thinks I'm being sexist, I'm sorry. I don't mean to sound that way. Actually of the Joes I like the female ones for the most part. Just, think about it this way. What if I said, cool I'm going to do a male version of Jinx or Scarlett etc.

There's plenty of cons to go to if you look around.
